CME 14/8/14 – Bicarbonate use in cardiac arrest and shock

Here is Dave’s talk on bicarbonate use in arrest and shock. There is not alot of evidence out there. It is important to realise that this is not a benign medication without potentially harmful effects. Hence, it’s use should be limited to distinct clinical indications, as mentioned above.
