CME: Infection Control in the ED

Here is Gaby’s talk on infection control practices in the Emergency Department.

Resources:

  • Note: Airborne Infection Isolation Rooms (AIIRs) must be used for patients with the following conditions:
    • Pulmonary tuberculosis
    • Chickenpox or disseminated shingles infections
    • Measles
    • SARS
    • Avian Influenza
    • Viral Haemorrhagic Fever
    • +/- Mumps (droplet precautions, but prefer door!)
