Updated Upper GI Bleeding Protocol (11/2015)

The following amendment has been made: For UNSTABLE patients (as per central black box in pathway) ED to contact Gastro Reg 24/7 and make MAU +/- ICU Reg aware of patient.

For STABLE patients ED refers to MAU Reg. The MAU Reg (not ED) is to contact Gastro Reg, either after their assessment, after 08:00 the following morning if presenting after 22:00, or if there is a change in clinical condition suggesting the need for urgent endoscopy.
