Handover times:

08:00:

  • Red and yellow teams separate for CONCURRENT handovers (Red team at the end of the flight deck opposite T2, Yellow team on the resus side of the middle of the flight deck)

17:00

  • Red and yellow teams separate for CONCURRENT handovers (Red team at the end of the flight deck opposite T2, Yellow team on the resus side of the middle of the flight deck)

23:00

  • Red and yellow teams do a JOINT handover at the end of the flight deck opposite T2

 

Handover Checklist:

Certain things should be done prior to coming to the handover to help facilitate a timely and efficient handover. These must be considered and completed prior to the handover times and NOT done during handover.

Note: On rare occasions it may be appropriate to form patient management plans after discussion with the accepting ED medical staff. However, this should be the exception, and patient management plans should be discussed with senior ED medical staff prior to handover wherever possible.
